Split system cleaning in Urunga
Urunga is a relaxed coastal village where the river meets the sea, and the warm, salty air that comes with it finds its way into every split system in town. Maxi Refresh AC cleans and sanitises air conditioners for homes and small businesses across Urunga and the surrounding Mid North Coast.
We strip down, clean and sanitise the parts that affect your air and running costs — the filters, indoor coil, fan barrel and drain tray — then document the difference. A regular deep clean can help your unit run more efficiently and keep the air in your home or business cleaner, and it may help your system hold up against the salt air and humidity that come with living this close to the water.
A yearly clean is one of the simplest ways to stay ahead of the mould and salt that build up over a season on the coast. Our schedule changes week to week, so book online and we'll confirm a time that suits you.
Why a clean matters by the coast
Urunga's spot on the coast means your air conditioner pulls in salt spray and damp air whenever it runs. The salt settles on the indoor coil and louvres, and the humidity creates the warm, damp conditions mould thrives in. Over a season that build-up can narrow the airflow and leave a stale, musty smell whenever the system switches on — often the first sign that something inside the unit needs attention.
A thorough clean clears the salt, dust and mould from the coil, filters and drain tray so the unit can move air freely again. It can help your system reach your set temperature without working as hard, and it may help reduce the dust and mould spores being blown back into the room — which can be a relief for anyone who feels it when the coastal air in the house gets heavy.
