Split system cleaning in Dorrigo Plateau
Dorrigo Plateau is a cool, green escarpment town high above the coast, where the damp mountain air and the surrounding rainforest and bush keep things fresh — and keep your air conditioner working in their own way. Mist, pollen and the fine grit that drifts in from the bush settle inside a split system over time. Maxi Refresh AC cleans and sanitises air conditioners for homes and small businesses across Dorrigo Plateau and the surrounding Mid North Coast.
We strip down, clean and sanitise the parts that affect your air and running costs — the filters, indoor coil, fan barrel and drain tray — then document the difference. A regular deep clean can help your unit run more efficiently and keep the air in your home or workplace cleaner, even when the mountain air is doing its best to fill it with damp and dust.
A 12-monthly clean is a simple, affordable way to stay ahead of the build-up on the plateau, where the cool, damp conditions can let mould take hold inside a unit. Our schedule changes week to week, so book online and we'll confirm a time that suits you.
Why a clean matters in the hinterland
Dorrigo Plateau's cool, damp climate means your air conditioner is coping with mist and moisture most of the year. The damp air settles on the indoor coil and in the drain tray, and the dust and pollen that drift in from the surrounding bush give mould something to grow on. Before long the airflow can drop, the unit can start working harder, and a musty smell can appear when it runs.
A hygienic clean clears the dust, pollen and mould from the parts you can't easily see, so the unit can breathe freely again. It can help your system reach your set temperature with less effort, and it may help reduce what's being blown around the room — a real help on the plateau, where the air inside can feel close and damp for much of the year.
